About the Opportunity:
As a volunteer, you will play an important role in the BLOOM program, a longitudinal research project focused on supporting both help-seeking and non-help-seeking youth and families facing adversity. This program, enriched with rigorous data collection, aims to better understand the mental health of young people and improve access to specialized care.
What You Will Learn:
- Basics of mental health help-seeking
- Developmental psychopathology and youth mental health
- Principles of interacting with families and supporting their needs
- Social determinants of youth mental health
Key Volunteer Tasks:
- Help with participant recruitment
- Assist with pre-screening of potential participants
- Various other tasks to support the research team

Volunteer Requirements:
- Strong interest in youth mental health and research
- Excellent communication skills (in both English and French ideally)

- A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Location:
Douglas Mental Health University Institute, CIUSSS-West Island (Montreal, QC). In presence work may be required.
Time Commitment:
- Minimum of 5 hours per week
- Flexible hours
